Local electro pop-tart Ed Muzik and his band the Burning Sensations are back with more airhorns and cowbells on their latest song ‘Pump Up The Volume’. Crank this on your next d-floor! We’ve just added it to the Starlifter playlist and you can download it for yourself from: here
Here’s the hype:
The biggest thing since the Clyde Dam – it’s Pump Up The Volume. Air聽horns, 铿俹ors toms, 20 vocal tracks, jittery synths and cock-a-hoop lyrics. It始s聽everything you始ve come to expect from Ed Muzik, plus more. It始s Ed Muzik on聽crack. More crack. More, good crack. It’s Ed Muzik times in铿乶ity. Squared.
Pump Up The Volume harks back to the rave era, to the late 80始s and early聽90始s, to acid and warehouses, but without the homoerotic mimicry that聽characterises so much of the retro smiley-face crowd. Instead of simply聽glamourising the party and the excesses of wasted youth, Pump Up The聽Volume traces the arc of a house party, the rise and fall. Cos what goes up,聽must come down.
Ed Muzik and the Burning Sensations recently debuted Pump Up The聽Volume when they toured in support of Minuit. Test audiences responded
well to it, and it was decided that a video should be commissioned for the聽song.
This is the anthem for a generation (albeit, a very small subset of that聽generation.)聽Be sure to check out
