In my first DJ set for 2021 I’m continuing to play tunes in the same vibe as I did in 2020; there’s plenty of electro, house, techno, acid and indie remixes. Artists featured in this mix include: Soulwax, Tiga, LO’99, Terr, Daniel Watts, Claude VonStroke, Kiwi, Scissors Sisters, Charlie, The Hasbeens, Tame Impala, and Erol Alkan.

So I totally didn’t realise until uploading this show to Mixcloud that roughly half the tunes are the same as my last set. I must really dig them huh?! This upload is still quite different, this is a radio show as opposed to a DJ set i.e. there are voice breaks. Music-wise this show consists of 80’s New Wave, Italo Disco, Dance Rock, ElectroClash, Disco, House, Acid, and Techno… phew.

 

Just a casual wee set I threw together on a sunny day. It is heavily influenced by Erol Alkan and his track Sub Conscious as well as Terr and her song Energy Sync ☮

So we were supposed to be all partying together this Saturday at Space Academy but due to COVID-19 level 2 restrictions in Aotearoa we can’t have peeps on the d-floor 😢 So the IRL event will now happen on September 19 and this Saturday, August 22 we’ll be livestreaming from www.avclub.nz on Twitch.
